Relationship Manager

United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) has an immediate opening for a Relationship Manager to create, negotiate, and implement comprehensive relationship management strategies with the individuals and companies within assigned portfolio. Portfolio’s complexity, locations, and expectations can vary based on needs of the portfolio. Under moderate supervision, designs and executes the initiatives necessary to achieve assigned growth, retention, participation, and revenue goals. Areas of responsibility include database account management, research and tracking, and fundraising campaign setup and evaluation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:           

  • Collaborate, coordinate, and execute with other internal teams to achieve shared goals. Provide insight into the planning and execution of special events, participating in key events with individuals and corporations, UWGC, and the communities and agencies supported.
  • Manage and engage with key volunteer leaders in the implementation of strategies within assigned portfolio while providing optimal support/service.
  • Build awareness of UWGC, its mission, fundraising, and recruitment needs by educating employees and corporations on the positive benefits of their time and resources dedicated to UWGC, solidifying the relationship between the individuals, UWGC, and their communities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the history, corporate culture, operating rhythms, etc. of assigned corporations, developing personalized and differentiated approaches to each client and its constituents.
  • Introduce and develop workplace fundraising best practices within accounts to increase engagement with UWGC and deepen the commitment of the corporations and their employees.
  • Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and process for the individuals and corporations within assigned portfolio. Analyze data and reports for opportunity and risk identification. Track and evaluate effectiveness of strategies, campaigns, and overall results.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two years previous experience in a fundraising, development, sales, communication and/or public relations capacity is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud-based applications required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, analytical, organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills required, including public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequent local travel within the regional area, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable personal transportation required.
