POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the efficient function of the mailroom by sorting and delivering mail, ordering supplies, fulfilling mail requisitions, and keeping track of deliveries for UWW off-site events. Incumbent will also be available to assist the Facilities team and the building engineer in the daily maintenance and upkeep of UWW facilities to include room setups and reconfigurations to fulfill staff and rental meeting requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Responsible for the daily operation of the UWW mailroom including sending, receiving, and delivering mail parcels for UWW and handling material being shipped for conference events and disasters.
- Responsible for delivering material locally using the UWW van as needed to ensure event material is delivered on time and returned to UWW if applicable.
- Maintains the mailroom and equipment in clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Ensures classrooms and meeting spaces are ready for occupancy, furniture is arranged as required, and that rooms are clean and presentable.
- Maintains spare key inventory and key box maintenance.
- Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the entire facility.
- Detects and reports suspicious mail and packages to Sr Associate, Facilities before delivering.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Sr Associate, Facilities.
- Assists in performing prescribed preventative maintenance on the building and grounds as required.
- Manages coffee inventory, restock supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements include:
- A valid driver’s license.
- GED/high school diploma.
- Clean background check
- At least one year of prior experience in a similar role.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Heavy lifting is often required while moving packages and furniture.
