Position Title: Mission United Program Manager Supervisor: United Way 211 Director

Classification: Full time -Exempt. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m. Some evening and weekend hours may be required as job duties demand.

Salary Range: $ 46,000 $ 52,000 DOE

UNITED WAY OF LEE, HENDRY, GLADES United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and (UWLHG) is a volunteer driven organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in our community. This is accomplished through fundraising, fund distribution (90+ partners), community building, volunteer advancement, and information and referral. UWLHG is a $16 million nonprofit social services organization, with 75 employees in six locations with the main campus being located at 7273 Concourse Drive, Fort Myers, FL. The majority of funding is from private donations although UWLHG also receives local, state, and federal grants. Overview of Responsibilities The Mission United Program Manager is primarily responsible for the overall operation and management of the Mission United Program. This includes daily supervision and management of the Mission United Veteran Care Coordination team. Key Responsibilities The primary function of the Mission United Program Manager is to oversee the Mission United Veteran Care Coordination team that offers comprehensive system navigation and veteran peer support through intake, screening, assessment, referral, and advocacy to the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs services and other community resources. In support of the Florida Veterans Support Line, the Mission United Program Manager works alongside the Contracts and Compliance Manager to ensure all deliverables are completed and program service delivery meets the requirements of the grant. The Mission United Program Manager assists in the process for grant application with MOAA, SAN/Cap Rotary Club, and future grant opportunities. The Mission United Program Manager is responsible for strengthening and maintaining relationships with the Mission United Stakeholders and community partners, and coordination with Resource department to add and maintain programs related to veteran service delivery. The Mission United Program Manager will manage and support the Veteran Care Coordination team and work alongside the United Way 211 Team to identify gaps and needs in available resources. Essential Functions • Responsible for the overall support and service delivery of Veteran Care Coordination. • Provides care coordination services via telephone, email, IM/Chat and in-person to veterans. • Advocates on behalf of veterans and families to access federally funded and private organizations to meet basic and related service needs. • Composes or prepares correspondence, case notes, narrative and technical reports, notifications, and related documents using computer-based applications. • Manages Veteran Care coordination staff to include HR, Payroll, onboarding, training, and mentoring. • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive agency and client information. • Attends, facilitates attendance and hosts community meetings as needed. • Emergency Response- all employees will be required to work before, during, or after an Emergency as needed. During an Emergency, employees may temporarily be assigned to work and perform duties outside the normal scope of their position, location, and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens. • Some travel required. Education/Requirements • Veteran of the U.S. Military. • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience. • Working knowledge and skill in the areas of data analysis, statistical analysis, and critical thinking. • Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal. • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. • Ability to establish and maintain positive and diverse working relationships is a must. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, implementing and completing projects within stated timelines. • A knowledge of community resources and services in Southwest Florida preferred.
