Lead Associate, Customer Solutions


As a key member of the Customer Solutions team, the Lead Associate provides support for United Way Worldwide’s (“UWW”) efforts to develop and deliver value-add offerings for corporations, donors, community partners and the United Way Network (“Network”). 


Responsibilities are a combination of supporting the work of specific teams and for the full Customer Solutions team. 

Full Customer Solutions Team Support 

Provides critical team support including assisting with meetings, invoicing, contracts, research, database management, updating information on United Way Online and other internal knowledge sharing platforms, as well as other duties as assigned.

 Volunteer Engagement 

Supports Volunteer Engagement Council meetings and network trainings (scheduling, registration, set up, minutes, follow-up, and data management); Drafts and manages contracts and invoices for customers and VISTA program; Orders materials and maintains inventory for volunteer projects and in-kind donations.

 Endowment & Planned Giving 

Produces gift acknowledgement communications and maintains associated records; Supports network trainings (scheduling, registration, set up, minutes, follow-up, and data management).

 Donor Advised Giving (IDAG and Domestic) 

Assists in the gathering and management of information related to donor-advised grants.


Minimum requirements for the role include: 

  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and implementation for virtual and in-person meetings including scheduling, registration, meeting space, catering, equipment, communications, promotion and online/onsite technical support, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in database entry and management
  • Demonstrated experience in research and analysis, including the ability to review, synthesize, and present information and findings.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and success working in a matrix structure with quickly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated mastry of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Smartsheet and Salesforce CRM.
  • Requires a high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • At least three years of intermediate level experience in a similar role.
