Executive Director

United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties seeks a strong organizational leader to implement a smooth transition with our retiring Executive Director.

The Mission of the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities in Goodhue and Wabasha Counties, MN and Western Pierce County, WI.  The Executive Director has primary ownership of this mission and must provide strategic and collaborative leadership in executing it.  This role is accountable for the oversight of all facets of the organization’s operation.  Our volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization is dedicated to advancing our mission. It’s less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. Ultimately, when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, and when people are healthy, we all win. We unite people and resources to build a stronger community focused on the three pillars of education, basic needs, and health. United Way recruits people and organizations who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. We invite people to be a part of the change right here in our community. They can give, they can advocate, and they can volunteer. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED!

Preferred qualifications include bachelor’s degree; managerial experience in or across multiple sectors, including nonprofit, public and/or corporate environments; experience in non-profit organizations, such as the United Way; demonstrated excellent public speaking and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software or equivalent; proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology; and must pass background investigation.
