The Donor Services Specialist is a critical member of our Finance and Donor Experience team, collaborating with staff in both departments. This role blends the duties of Accounts Receivable and Collections with Pledge Processing and Payment Application of donor gifts.

So, what’s a day in the life of the Donor Services Specialist?

With your excellent customer service skills, you will work with the team to ensure the accurate processing of pledge and donor information.

Your attention to detail and dedicated work ethic assists you in preparing and processing bank deposits, donor billing, and credit card processing. You can also prepare invoices, monthly reminder statements, and receipts to keep our donors informed and on track.

Your love of researching issues and cleaning up data allows you to maintain our CRM/donor database.

Working with the team, you develop collaborative relationships internally and externally to communicate and resolve issues related to assigned accounts.

Your experience allows you to deliver reliable and accurate managerial and financial reporting to the leadership teams.

Experience and professionalism give you the knowledge, skills, and ability to deal with confidential data.

What kind of experience will help you succeed in this role?

  • We recognize both life and educational experiences. Three plus years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, or Collections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software is strongly preferred.

We prefer this position to have these basics:

  • Three plus years of nonprofit experience
  • Experience with Andar or other donor management software
  • Experience with Salesforce products
  • Experience working with a United Way
