Position Title: Director, Program Strategy and Community Partnerships
Status: Full-time, exempt
Salary: An amount in the beginning of the pay range, $78,000 - $82,000 annually.

How You'll Help
The Director of Program Strategy and Community Partnerships is supervised by the Chief Impact Officer. Key accountabilities include strategy development, performance measurement, special initiatives, and community partnerships to accelerate the outcomes of the Community Impact Division (CID). This role provides support to the Chief Impact Officer and Community Impact Division by focusing on increasing and cultivating relationships with community partners through targeted community outreach initiatives while also amplifying the voices of the communities we serve to ensure we advance the mission of Mile High United Way. This position supports cross collaboration efforts in our six direct service programs and ensures a cohesive strategy throughout the Community Impact Division. The Director will also serve as a key partner and advisor to the Chief Impact Officer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of CID's strategic plan and alignment of goals that will shape overall efforts within communities served by our programs.
  • Track progress of CID goals by partnering with the Evaluation and Learning Department in the development of benchmarks, goals, and strategic initiatives to ensure cross collaboration and execution of established departmental goals.
  • Facilitate planning sessions with each program and ensuring timely submission of program plans annually.
  • Communicate strategy and key growth initiatives to community stakeholders for the purpose of obtaining support and sharing outcomes related to CID's strategic vision.
  • Supports and facilitates key relationships with community partners designed to improve outcomes for individuals, families, and the community ensuring the integration of these efforts across CID.
  • Support the expansion of high performing Mile High United Way programs and initiatives that demonstrate measurable community impact in new and existing communities. Such programs will include those focused on early childhood education, elementary education, youth exiting the child welfare system, small business development within under-resourced communities, tax assistance, personal investments, and workforce development.
  • Partner with Mile High United Way staff and community partners to develop a results-driven culture and build capacity to use performance and results data to assess strategies and engage in an ongoing improvement effort. This includes strategic partnership with our Evaluation and Learning Team to capture and analyze data to ensure we expand our footprint while improving data outcomes to meet our Impact 2025 goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, community leaders and partners across sectors (policy leaders, service providers, service recipients, funder partners, local governments, schools, and community advocates).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, business, public policy, public administration, organizational management, or a related field required. Masters' Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven success in a leadership role overseeing strategy, programs or related area preferably at a philanthropic, nonprofit, or social service organization
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience creating and implementing programs with measurable outcomes; preferably experience with cross functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of current community needs, trends, and resource development efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience developing community partnerships that further mission/impact.
  • Expertise working with diverse populations experiencing racial/ethnic social economic disparities.
  • Experience within a nonprofit or impact organization is preferred.

Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Salesforce and project management software experience preferred.

Working Environment: General office environment
