Position Overview:
United Way Manitowoc County’s (UWMC) Director of Impact Strategies is a hands-on community development role responsible for the organization’s Community Impact Agendas, bringing about whole community change that improves quality of life in Manitowoc County. This position is a critical and highly visible role within the organization as well as the community.
Responsibilities:
• Manages impact agenda goals, funds/budgets, outcomes, & partnerships/coalitions
• Represent UWMC in community groups and committees
• Prepare and analyze outcomes/program evaluation measurement data and tracking
• Hold an understanding of community aspirations through ongoing conversations with donors, volunteers, nonprofit and business partners, and other community stakeholders
Qualifications:
• Experience coordinating projects, coalitions and/or committees preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, organizational development, social work, psychology, research, education, public health or a related field, or a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience of project management
• 2 to 3 years’ experience recruiting and supervising paid staff and/or volunteers
• Experience with program and grant oversight, including analyzing outcomes is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Be inclusive and demonstrate ability to relate well to a wide variety of individuals and groups
• Ability to multi-task and meet overlapping deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a wide range of community groups, partner organizations, internal customers, and volunteers
• Computer literate in basic office-related software programs
