United Way Suncoast is seeking a Data & Investments Specialist.  This position rounds out the UWS Data and Investments Team by providing leadership in the organization and communication of data reporting and grantmaking projects.  The Specialist position will support the Data & Investments Team by curating our database of impact work and community investments, streamlining the logistics of our contracts and agreements with partner organizations and serving as a point of contact for strategic community partners and other United Way Suncoast (UWS) departments.  This role directly supports key initiatives of the UWS strategic plan related to strengthening community impact work across the Suncoast region.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

  •  Collaborates on team projects related to Data for Impact, Nonprofit Partner Support, and grantmaking (investments)
    • Create grant applications, scoring rubrics, and reporting that monitors outcomes and focuses on continuous improvement.
    • Analyzes data for trends and evaluation of program outcomes.
    • Conducts training and delivers technical assistance to UWS team members and strategic community partners related to data and grantmaking.
  • Creates workflows and organizational plans that monitor and ensure the success of such projects.
  • Provides database management support by ensuring all forms and entries are clean and accurate, and that they are assigned and completed per the published reporting schedule.
  • Manages our library of database system users to ensure contact information is correct and that all users have easy and appropriate access.
  • Manages our historical community impact data for clean and easy access for both team members and external users.
  • Supports the logistics of drafting, organizing, reviewing, and aligning funding contracts to ensure that our obligations and expectations are consistent across agreements. 
  • Designs and authors email communication, reports, and presentations.
  • Serves as additional point of contact for both partner organizations and other UWS departments for questions and tasks related to data and investment projects.

Qualifications & Skills for Success:   

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability occasionally to travel within the Suncoast region for meetings, etc.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish/Creole) a plus.
