Job Title  - Corporate Engagement Manager

A component of the Resource Development team, the Corporate Engagement Manager at United Way of Larimer County aims to be the hub for corporate social responsibility in our community. The Corporate Engagement Manager will work to mobilize mission-driven companies and donors in our community to advance positive outcomes in youth & education, financial stability, and equity in our community. The Manager is responsible for fundraising and engaging business partners as well as promoting United Way of Larimer County’s mission in Larimer County through relationship building, excellent customer service, new business development, and corporate/individual fundraising activities.  

Essential Functions 

  • Establish a diversity of new business and community relationships through networking, prospecting, and community presence that benefit United Way of Larimer County 

  • Manage corporate accounts to increase revenue and donors 

  • Solicit and secure corporate and employee donations 

  • Keep accurate records of all interactions, communications, and maintain data integrity within organizations customer relationship management (CRM) tools 

  • Train, recruit, manage and support volunteer campaign coordinators 

  • Engage with individual donors to renew gifts each year 

  • Support and plan workplace special events 

  • Mobilize corporate partners to support community youth and education, financial stability, and equity initiatives 

  • Engage, develop, and steward companies through corporate social responsibility initiatives, providing connections to volunteer projects, marketing exposure, and fundraising opportunities  

  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with all constituents 

  • Develop key partnerships throughout Larimer County 

  • Network through professional organizations, service clubs and/or Chamber events 

  • Solicit and steward corporate gifts, sponsorships, and other partnership opportunities 

  • Develop, maintain, and steward a diverse individual donor portfolio consisting of 30+ donors from assigned accounts and community relationships 

  • Hold 150 or more meetings with donors and community constituents throughout the course of the year   

  • Implement and manage campaign related fundraising and stewardship events 

  • Manage departmental key activity plans and support departmental special projects, as assigned 

  • Partner with marketing and operations to develop and present material and online campaign platforms to business partners and the community 

  • Attend and participate in Resource Development and other staff meetings including internal and external work group committees as needed 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience (preferred) 

  • Fundraising and/or sales and account management experience  

  • Experience working with a fundraising or equivalent sales database 

  • Business development experience (preferred) 

  • Volunteer management experience (preferred) 

  • Ability to engage a diversity of community members to advocate for and support our mission 

  • Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice  

  • Passion for data-driven impact storytelling and Community-Centric Fundraising 

  • Ability to collaborate with other departments, agencies and peers to reach common goals 

  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and in a flexible environment 

  • Effective communication skills and an aptitude for multitasking and prioritization 

  • Strong leadership skills with an aptitude for resourcefulness and self-initiative 

  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytic and strategic thinking  

  • Ability to deliver informative and engaging speeches to a live audience 

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other related software 

  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) or equivalent sales database (preferred)

Pluses of Working at UWLC 

Competitive Pay: This is a salaried full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week, with pay in the range of $50,000 - $60,000 annual salary, with a differential offered for Spanish-English bilingual staff members. And our benefit package is valued at over $12,000! 

We want you to take time off to recharge and enjoy life. Taking care of community requires first caring for ourselves. UWLC closes its doors for 9 company holidays, plus the last week in December through New Year’s. We also take extra time off on Fridays all summer to recharge and prioritize balanced living and rest. And, our PTO accrual is generous!  

We’ll make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed. We provide a laptop and any necessary apps, and most of our offices have standing desks.  

We’re dog friendly, too! Our office is a dog and baby-friendly office. Your four-legged best friend is welcome to come work with you in our office, located in Old Town Fort Collins. 

We have a flexible work environment. We know that everyone has different responsibilities and locations where they work best. We have a hybrid work environment and ask all staff to work from the office twice a week to connect with coworkers.
