United Way of the Plains (Wichita, KS) is currently seeking a full-time Continuum of Care Planning Grant Specialist. This position will engage and work collaboratively with non-profit organizations that participate in the Wichita-Sedgwick County Continuum of Care (also known as Impact ICT – CoC), including organizations funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) CoC Program.
This position supports the planning, monitoring, and grant writing functions of the CoC. The CoC is designated by HUD to coordinate the homeless crisis response system for the Wichita-Sedgwick County coverage area.
The successful candidate will possess excellent individual and group rapport-building skills, oral and written communication skills, experience in facilitating consensus and decision-making on inter-agency issues, along with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced education beyond high school and experience with HUD’s CoC Program is preferred.
