ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

The United Way of Hancock County seeks to measurably improve the lives of vulnerable children, families and individuals in our community.  We are locally focused with a commitment to 

PURPOSE

Oversee the production of clear, effective communication pieces that support UWHC’s mission and vision through implementation of the annual marketing plan. Maximize public visibility and manage projects effectively to meet strong deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BRAND MANAGEMENT

  1. MANAGE BRAND IDENTITIY. Develop concepts and messages consistent with our branding, creating authentic relationships between the UWHC brand and our consumers.
  2. STORYTELLING. Know UWHC’s value proposition to our donors and community and effectively communicate it through story, statistics, and use of UW Worldwide materials.
  3. IMPLEMENT MARKETING PLAN. Work cross departmentally and with outside agencies to effectively execute and track the plan. Includes monthly analytics analysis
  4. Ensure all marketing projects and activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner.

WRITING

  1. MESSAGING. Concise and creative writer. Understands professional tone and voices within each of our marketing channels.
  2. EDITING. Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, reliability, timeliness.

DIGITAL MARKETING CHANNELS

  1. WEBSITE. Maintain website. Develop new content and graphics as needed. Increase SEO.
  2. SOCIAL MEDIA. Create and implement consistent and brand centered pieces for social media and monthly enews letters, creating a human centric approach that evokes trust, collaboration, and innovation
  3. ADVERTISING. Create, manage, and monitor display, Facebook, and Google Ad campaigns
  4. INTEGRATE AUTOMATION into the CRM system – text and email

ASSETS

  1. WAREHOUSE. Develop and maintain a warehouse of written and visual content
  2. DIRECT AND CAPTURE photography and videography as needed.

DESIGN

  1. PRINT MATERIALS. Create collateral print materials for the organization and its departments. Coordinate advanced materials with a graphic design consultant.
  2. GRAPHIC DESIGN. Ability to lay out multiple mediums for print and digital applications, using branding guidelines and ingenuity.
  3. ADVERTISING PROJECTS. Manage print, digital, radio, video, and social media with consistency across various media.
  4. Video. Ability to edit video content is a plus

EVENTS AND MORE

  1. Assist in event planning and other office needs
  2. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Strong professional writing
  • Proven ability in project and time management
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a team
  • Computer and IT Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Exposure to Adobe Suite or other graphic design platforms is a plus
