Job Title: Campaign Coordinator

Reports to: Vice President of Philanthropy

Department: Philanthropy

Position: Full-Time/Exempt

Location: Onsite - Naples, Florida

Purpose of Position

United Way of Collier and the Keys (UWCK) mission is to advance the common good by investing in the building blocks of a good quality of life: education, income, health, and safety-net services. The Campaign Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating workplace and neighborhood campaigns, affinity group activities, special events, and philanthropy-specific communications, including donor appeals, grant writing, and reporting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy, the Campaign Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating workplace and neighborhood campaigns, affinity group activities, special events, and philanthropy-specific communications, including donor appeals, grant writing, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Create and execute direct mail and email appeals and stewardship communications
  • Coordinate production of promotional materials
  • Create and manage philanthropy social media messaging
  • Recruit and work with volunteers to coordinate workplace and neighborhood campaigns
  • Write applications and reports for private, corporate, and government grants
  • Work with Community Impact team to ensure fidelity of grant applications to program goals and coordinate collection of data relevant to grant reporting
  • Investigate grant opportunities identified by senior staff and Community Impact team
  • Maintain grants calendar and track grant proposals and performance in Raiser’s Edge
  • Seek out new funding opportunities aligned with mission and programs
  • Prepare staff for site visits, meetings with funders, etc.
  • Work with key volunteers to coordinate affinity groups, e.g.,Tocqueville Society, Women United

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of five years of experience
  • United Way campaign experience highly preferred
  • Successful creation of fundraising communications, including direct appeals
  • Demonstrated use of social media to successfully engage target audiences
  • Ability to produce high-quality written material requiring minimal revision
  • Basic layout and design skills
  • Successful grant management experience
  • Demonstrable volunteer engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed event management experience

Transportation Requirements 

Must have reliable transportation, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a good driving record.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to operate a variety of equipment such as a computer, telephone, headset, copy machine and fax machine. Sedentary work requires sitting for long periods of time but may require the ability to walk, stand, stoop and squat for various periods. Visual acuity and manual dexterity required for typing and computer use. Must be able to lift/move objects up to 25 lbs.
