Mission United Bus Driver

United Way of Lake and Sumter is seeking a Bus Driver for our North Lake Mission United Bus Route. Mission United is the program provided by United Way of Lake and Sumter (and other UWs around the country), that focuses solely on the needs of our Veterans. This program serves those who have served our nation and as such, the passengers of this bus will be Veterans headed to and from medical appointments and this position is one for which the following traits will be highly prized:

  • Professional, pleasant, and courteous with team and passengers
  • Flexible as appointments are not always timely (as you know if you’ve ever been to the doctor)
  • Attentive to detail
  • Keen on follow through
  • Desire to be of service to others

Is this you? Then bring your safe driving record, willing attitude, and dedication to the service of others to this opportunity to grow an expanding, fun, and diligent team of hard working individuals serving our community.

This position does not require a CDL, however, strong preference will be given to those with a pristine driving record, 3 to 5 years of 10 passenger (or larger) bus driving experience, and experience in having served our nation in Military Service. All inquiries are welcome.

United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties is a 55 year-old local organization with an impressive benefits package for employees and team members and a robust non-discrimination policy, ensuring equality of consideration for all eligible applicants.
